Ashish AW19
Usually in the case of an AW collection, there’s a more sombre tone, knocking out both the heavy duty fabrics and darker tones which doesn’t exactly spark joy in these already depressing months. Luckily Ashish would never do that to us, instead opting for dreamy 60s inspired silhouettes and attaching flowers and shine to every look. Personal highlights include diamante barrettes hidden amongst huge hairstyles vs. the vibrantly decorated knitted pool sliders across the menswear looks, not forgetting the crochet two piece suits that you’d definitely be able to wear for tea with nana, the office party and Glastonbury. The whole show had the feel of opening a birthday card with glitter hidden inside it, except it didn’t go all over your carpet.
