All in fashion

LCF BA17

University of the Arts London's London College of Fashion catwalk show featured collections from 46 BA graduate students and was divided into six acts that took place at Old Spitalfields Market in East London.

Perception of Space

The distortion of normality is captured by a study of surrealism and imagery that explores absurdity and what is illogical. Inspired by Doroetha Tanning’s "Chambre 202", unusual poses and angles are shot next to familiar objects and the contrast itself creates a sense of distorted visuals.

Fair conversations

Fashion is healing our minds that is suffering from the sickness of our daily routine. When you find the right company that routine turns into valuable moments and our body heals. We can then start to discover and enjoy the every-day objects and environment that surrounds us. Love turns anything into beauty.

Ava

A freshness balanced with clean and soft silhouettes. Smooth textures of oversized shapes create a unisex look and neutralise the scene.

The Natural Stream

We dive into a study of colours, demonstrating how they react and stimulate each other. The depth and warmth of the intense tints evolves stronger around the contrasting skin tone and crude organic materials. A lively harmony of chromaticity.

Hot Line

While exploring one of Sweden’s last sauna-clubs, the attention is drawn to the damp corners dressed in dimmed lights. A meeting between Swedish sin and transgressive Texan attitude.

Camber

Inspired by Rory Parnell Mooney’s spring collection and the fluidity present in the designs. Capturing the man’s instinctive and natural movement as he explores his surroundings. The different textures transform while following the changing daylight. Organic elements and an earthy colour palette.

Cluster Amaryllis

A restless soul covered in loose shapes and layered textures. Street wear mixed with leather and technical materials transforming into playful silhouettes while creating new volumes. A dark colour palette with a few elements of red, bottle green and tangerine.

Circus A Go Go

A creative journey is created by infusing collage artwork with photography. The black surface adds a depth into the characters and colourful textures. David Siferd’s playful and unconventional brand Goddess takes on a dramatic role and is fully expressed through the blossomlike silhouettes.
