Y-3 FW25
In the never ending dialogue between sport and style, Y-3 once again asserts its position as a pioneer of contemporary fashion. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection, presented at Paris’ Pavillon Cambon, presents the dualities that have always defined the brand: heritage and innovation, structure and fluidity, utility and craftmanship.
The setting, dominated by a monumental LED screen evoking both sports arenas and the digital omnipresence of our era, served as both stage and narrative device. The cast—featuring figures such as basketball icon Candace Parker, skater Marcos Montoya, and footballer Djibril Cissé—reinforce the brand’s ethos of cultural and athletic convergence.
The silhouettes this season gracefully mix form and function, sexiness and on the job attire. Protective elements—knee-padded trousers, insulated tops, and padded bags—announce the athletic fiber of the collection. However, details such as cinched draping, interpretations of the iconic adidas’ Three Stripes, and a nod to Japanese Suibokuga ink techniques gives it a delicious historical touch. These patterns, inspired by fossilized amber, give the piece an almost psychedelic feeling.
The plot thickens with Y-3’s collaboration with the Japanese brand NEIGHBORHOOD. Titled “Y-3-N,” this capsule reinterprets the iconography of the very trendy motorsport through custom designs by Death Spray Custom and leather craftsmanship from Italian racing experts Dainese. Strong pieces like racing suits, ski masks, helmets, and oversized sports bags give the end of the show an "almost bank robbery, but make it fashion" vibe.
Y-3’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection balances innovation and tradition, offering a bold vision where sport and fashion intersect beautifully. With its daring designs and cultural collaborations, the brand continues to push its narrative forward while staying true to its distinctive identity.
