J.L-A.L FW2025
Reimagined through the prism of surrealism, J.L-A.L's Autumn/Winter 2025 collection redefines the boundaries of menswear, where garments become artifacts of distortion, blending precision with abstraction. This season meditates on perception, drawing inspiration from the surreal imagery of La Planète Sauvage (1973).
At the heart of the collection is a meticulous exploration of texture and form. Archetypal menswear elements are reconfigured through playful distortions with trompe l’œil techniques and organic references.
A key element of the collection lies in its commitment to precision within the chaotic. In collaboration with Italian textile powerhouse Manteco, J.L-A.L debuts a gradient wool that seamlessly transitions across tonal palettes. The fabric’s development pushes technical boundaries while reducing material waste. This approach extends to unconventional seam placements and the grain orientation of fabrics, revealing a rigor beneath the collection’s seemingly effortless forms. Silhouettes oscillate between tailored and abstract. Triple-layered suiting disrupts traditional construction, while jersey fabrics warp into fluid forms.
Collaborative endeavors shape J.L-A.L’s evolving narrative. Handmade beaded accessories by Victoria Ohanyan complement the collection’s sculptural aspect. Ongoing partnerships with Goldwin and HOKA introduce Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ fiber and Synflux’s AI-driven pattern engineering, highlighting efficiency through precision and waste reduction.
J.L-A.L’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection is a testament to its evolving design philosophy, where tradition is interrogated and redefined. Manufactured and distributed globally through Slam Jam, the brand continues to assert itself as a voice that not only shapes the contemporary sartorial landscape but also reimagines its possibilities.
