When tatts, naked flesh and male nipples are making the cut: @andreagrossi___ is the only Cyberpunk we really needed this year. Go check out his brilliant dystopian collection S34S0N 2. You’re welcome.

Close your eyes for 20 seconds and take a deep breath: What is the first thing that comes to your mind?

To be completely honest I am reminded of the things I forgot from the shopping list and the errands I have to run. However at the moment my head is occupied with projects involving the commercialization of the collection, which is a fairly complex process.

What inspires you the most at the moment?

At the moment I am catapulted into the world of Cyberpunk 2077, the latest project of the CD Projekt group, and I must say that it is giving me several ideas. I love the idea of immersing myself in a world and drawing inspiration from the work of great professionals such as game designers, music artists or directors. I believe that films, video games, advertising campaigns are the true CONTEMPORARY ART.

Your S34S0N 2 is more than iconic: how did it come together? Take us on the journey of the creative process of the jacket with human flesh and male nipples, please.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad the public liked it, even though I'm already thinking about the next project. However, the journey started in 2019 with my collection of „Laura welcome to DeusLand“ in which I investigated the possibility that in the future the human being would be able to create and improve his own body thanks to biotechnologies / nanotechnologies. So to make myself a "creator" of a 3D male avatar from which I then extracted the texture map, and I decided that those garments had to represent the idea of creating a body, creating a character.

What has 2020 brought for your creativity - what have you gotten out of this year?

Surely, it has been a year full of questions, and with few answers, but to be honest which year is not. Thanks to the Hyères festival and the S34S0N 2 I grew as a person and as a designer, I got very close to the idea of creating responsible products and thinking about solutions in the fashion sector that could solve real needs. I decided to specialize in sustainable leather combined with Italian craftsmanship and know-how, which I intend to preserve and innovate in my small universe.

If you had to describe yourself to an elderly person in 5 words, which ones would you use?

A person who believes in future. I believe that the fulcrum of my work is this, believing that thanks to study, research, hard work and good ideas we can build a better future, whether from the point of view of design or the environment.

What is your favorite shoe on the market at the moment? (I for example love the Rombaut boot Mexican style, the tabi loafer for men from Margiela and those brand new Balenciaga medieval knight boots)

I have to say that our tastes are very similar. I'll give you a scattered ranking of the shoes I love right now: Tabi Boots with sporty rubber heel, Balenciaga knight medieval boots too,Yeezy Foam Runner, Ancuta Sarca upcycled niker and the Bottega Veneta, the 100% biodegradable boots.

Which designer do you find iconic at the moment (besides yourself) – and why?

I believe that the best emerging designer is Marine Serre, how she managed to bring the world of up-cycling to such a high level commercial and communicative level is admirable.

I think it is one of the most beautiful routes I have been following for a few years.

What do you think of John Galliano? If he would offer you a internship for 3 months working side by side - would you do it?
Who wouldn't do it? Absolutely yes! It would be a crazy experience, even if I don't think John Galliano embodies the figure of the contemporary designer anymore, he is one of the best on earth for which I would only have to learn.

The future is... (finish the sentence please)

The future is what we do today. My sentence is: WE ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WHAT IS AND WHAT COULD BE.
