Act N1 SS20
The damp trail served as a reflection of blended cultures and alternative realities in this show filled with hybrid garments and textiles. The designer’s, Galib Gassanoff and Luca Lin, strived to uplift women and incorporate their Chinese and Azerbaijani cultures in order to give a unique male perspective on feminism and female visibility.
Themes of purity and self-discovery echoed throughout the room as the swishing of the water vibrated in the ears of the audience, creating an ambient soundtrack that washed out the intensity normally associated with runways. With colorful frocks and a serene sonic environment, Lin and Gassanoff cultivated the perfect environment for introspection.
