Tom Blesch
Tom’s parents left Romania in their twenties and when he was born they decided not to teach him their foreign language, never knowing how much this country would come to influence his work it didn’t seem important at the time. Understanding everyone but not being able to answer makes you feel incomplete. But, at the same time, they do say finding your happy place can complete you.
““They say home will always feel like home, and all i know is that Romania is my paradise.””
Combining color with color, the heat in the air and the way the intense sunlight transforms and enhances the bright colors inspired this short series.
““People here paint their houses in fluorescent colors, it’s normal to see a house in blue, pink, orange, yellow or green, it doesn’t matter if the building is newly built, renovated or close to collapsing.””
