She’s always slicing it and dicing it…stringing us along with cohesive collage series. In her latest series, untitled as all of her works are, Tagen Donovan features flashy colors, fun fabrics, and found objects. She plays with your sense of space, turning things inside out and upside down.
Interiors and exteriors don’t matter any more as fabrics melt into skin and chairs suspend in thin air. Chaos, color bursts and calamity are ensued in each image, but it doesn’t seem to unsettle the viewer - likely because every image has some grounding sense of order. The series oozes with a fresh, fashionable flair and has a cohesive style and point of view. What’s not to love?
