This story comes from the constant observation of my classmate Lien. She’s an art student. I’ve been thinking for days about finding something unique to shoot… and there she is. She owns many distinctive features of personality and appearance which make her an innovative character for fashion and, at the same time, she volunteers herself to perform different roles wearing the different looks made for her. She’s feminine or masculine, sensual or purely artistic, she can confuse her Vietnamese roots as looking like a Latina. References to different geographical territories, different looks, a new concept of beauty, the idea of taking an outsider and putting her into a fashion shooting like a part of a game between us.
