Street cred forever: He knows how to mix color, typo and in-depth like no other. Keith Haring’s little brother - from another mother.
What impact does time have on you: how do you use it in your artwork and for yourself?
Time is a great tool for me to play around, especially with the energy and the vibe of artworks. I can spend endless hours on details of an artwork which have nearly no influence on the overall picture and in the end I will feel the energy of those endless hours looking on the piece. Then there are other artworks that have to be painted really fast and sloppy to create the right vibe. Those two settings are often the very basic framework of approaching my ideas.
If you were a color - which one would you be? And why?
ufff ( •_•)
Let’s jump to your very sexy and a bit post-communistic-china looking series „Forbidden Fruits“: what do you think of Tinder, Dating Apps and Love in this digital era? Would that be a topic you would consider working on?
I fell in love before the time of Dating Apps, so I have no real connection to this topic. But maybe a similar topic I consider working on is the gap between people acting in real life and online.
Rethinking your past exhibition „United Melt“ and „European Dream“: What do you think about Europe, Climate and Capitalism these days - where are we heading?
ufff again. ( •_•) That’s the complete opposite level of question no.2
Different moods and fortuitously situations inspire me. Traveling (Europe) for instance is always full of inspiration for me.
Are we going to see new stuff of yours any time soon: what are your present and future plans?
Right now I am curating an exhibition in Vienna, which is one of my biggest projects till now. Fashion will also be a bigger topic in the future. At the moment I really enjoy to collaborate with other artists like photographers and musicians. New projects are already on their way. Stay tuned.
