Emre Pakel
In their latest genderless collection ‘Fatality’, Turkish-based Armenian designer Emre Pakel drew inspiration from the cult 2000’s video game Mortal Kombat. Styled by Begum Ozdemir and modeled by Gunalp Godez with graphic design by Ezgi Siir Bicer, this editorial features the ‘street avantgarde’ pieces first shown at Mercedes Benz İstanbul Fashion Week. The looks are meant to be a commentary on‘surviving in the fashion world’. Pakel’s brand was originally founded in June 2018 - 5 months after winning a Koza Young Fashion Designer Award, which is a‘prestigious Turkish fashion contest and Aegean exportunion designers contest’. After presenting his collections for two seasons, the young designer is continuing to pursue his career based in Milan.
