“Descenso”, the new capsule collection by Spanish brand Digital Distortion chronicles the innocence and divinity of Venus against Earth’s human folly
Digital Distortion, a relatively new brand from Spain with a focus on upcycling, has released a new collection of four looks. “Descenso represents the descent of three residents from the planet Venus to Earth.” Three out of four looks reference the goddess of Venus, showcasing gathered moss green fabrics upon different corset silhouettes akin to those popularized by Vivienne Westwood in the 90’s. On the contrary, its grace is opposed by the edge of a black, almost-inverted corset combined with gathered chaps standing menacingly. “Descenso” describes “the fusion between Venus and the Earth” and “the divine and earthly sins” proposing the question: Is Earth the evil twin to the good of Venus?
