The intertwining of Fuorisalone with the fashion world is widely acknowledged. Adding weight to this notion is Saint Laurent Rive Droite, which, through collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and the Fundación Anala y Armando Planchart, will bring a remarkable collection of works by the legendary Italian designer to Milan Design Week.
Under the curation of the maison's creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, an exhibition will showcase the porcelain plates created by Gio Ponti for Villa Planchart in 1957.
Set within the Chiostri di San Simpliciano from April 16 to 21, visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate the tableware crafted by Ginori 1735, envisioned by Ponti for Anala and Armando Planchart. The couple commissioned Ponti to construct a villa in Caracas in 1953, now hailed as a architectural masterpiece.
Additionally, Saint Laurent will unveil replicas of 12 original plates from the Villa Planchart Segnaposto collection, available online and at select boutiques.
