Serve Us Up

Serve Us Up

Showcased in a video titled Serve us up, this project initiates conversation around the development of science and technology and how advancements in those fields correlate with the climate crisis and the repercussions that a sudden shift in resources will have for humans. As humans will not have enough time to adapt to these changes, technology’s interference with nature will be vital to our survival. In Serve us up this concept is expressed through a restaurant that serves food entirely curated through the duplication of genes and the harvesting of nutrients through unnatural sources. This futuristic reality puts into question the relationship humans will have with food in the future, as well as the role food will play in our lives, as a small sample to a host of larger questions involving a post-humanist future.
