Loredana Lo Porto
Do you like living in Melbourne, Australia?
Iโve grown up in Melbourne, and I do like living here but theres only so much exploring you can do in a place youโve grown up your whole life. I would love to move to London in the future.
Are you excited to turn 20?
Sort of but not really at the same time. A reminder that iโm growing up.
What languages can you speak and what languages would you want to learn?
I can speak Italian. I havenโt really given that much thought, maybe Russian or German.
When and how would you like to start a doom metal band?
Iโve been trying to start a doom metal band for a while now. Itโs been really hard to meet people that are on the same wave length as me. As soon as i meet a couple of people on that wave iโm down to get something going.
When did you discover your passion for metal?
When I was 15. I listened to an old Iron maiden song called โRemember tomorrowโ, it was so powerful and raw and I loved that. I felt as if I could finally relate to a genre of music and feel so liberated at the same time. Purple Witch Hill - Astral Booze, is the track that got me onto doom metal specifically, very tough.
What is your favourite album and why?
My two favourite albums would have to be; Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats - Blood Lust, and Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle. Blood Lust is one of the very first doom metal albums i listened to and i have a very special place in my heart for it. Doggystyle is just an insane 90s rap album by Snoop.
What attracts you to 90s skater fashion?
90s skater style is so effortlessly cool and chill. Chucking on some extra oversized comfy clothes without much thought gone into it appeals to me so much. Also so many people hating on the 90s JNCO Jeans, man I have three pairs already and Iโm keen to buy a few more. The baggier the better. I myself defiantly am a baggy jeans/clothes enthusiast.
How do you wish to stand out from other stylists/musicians?
Just by doing me and being 100% confident with it. I know i have a unique selling point just by being myself.
