Leo Gabin
Leo Gabin is a collective comprised of Belgian artists Lieven Deconinck, Gaëtan Begerem, and Robin De Vooght. The collective was established in 2000 and is currently based in Ghent, Belgium. They are notorious for their abstract, collage-like paintings and satirical videos. Leo Gabin’s work is mostly found-object art consisting of digital content and internet culture and uses a variety of mediums including video, digital media, drawing, print, painting, and sculpture. Using art and technology, they repurpose mass media and provide social and critical commentary on digital culture. Leo Gabin’s most recent solo exhibition was at Peres Projects in Berlin, entitled “Exit/Entry” and their most recent group exhibition was Painting² at Berezdivin Collection, Espacio 1414 in Puerto Rico.
