Lara Verheijden
Artist Lara Verheijden’s collages present a collision of erotogenic images in the most natural of ways. Rather than imposing a particular idea to her work, Verheijden instead relies on the connotations each piece of the collage already comes with in all its original aesthetic form. Her main interest lies in beauty, opinion, and sex.
““I wouldn’t necessarily say I start making my collages with a meaning, but overall I’m interested in beauty, opinions and sex, and then combining these with my past, my own look and Rudolf Steiner school background.””
Her works are tinged with Dada-esque values and seem to put forward the most suppressed of thoughts. She is currently based in Amsterdam.
