Jean-Christophe Recchia
Jean-Christophe Recchia is a self-taught photographer based in Nantes, France. He was born in 1967 in France and started off working as a freelance illustrator and collaborating with Parisian advertising agencies for 14 years. Recchia’s photography contextualizes the ordinary and makes the truistic fresh. Aesthetic intersections become reality in a crossing between viewer and the image of the dull. The sharp angles of Recchia’s work do not separate the two, but rather, through this crossing, create a mutual understanding and shared appreciation of beauty and prompted interest.
