Florence Baitio
Who would be your dream client for which to model?
There are so many clients to choose from but it's always been a dream of mine to work for Rihanna. I just look up to her so much and right now I'm trying to build my portfolio so that one day I can be good enough to work with her and represent her products. I'm not going to lie I would also die if I ever got the opportunity to model for Gucci. I love the vibe Gucci brings out and their products are simply amazing - they inspire me every day with their unique designs.
What has been your favorite modeling gig to date?
The best gig I've ever had up to date was modeling for the company Freedom Couture. The owner/founder of the wig company reached out to me through Instagram. I remember thinking it was all a lie! For the gig we did a makeover video which, after 1 month on YouTube, has reached 5.2million views. The video Really gave me the confidence I needed.
Where are you from and where are you going?
I was originally born in a refugee camp in Uganda 🇺🇬.. I lived in Uganda until I was 7 years old when we moved to Australia in 2005. I'm currently just working and I've got big plans. I want to go to New York to try and kick start my modeling career.
Who is your favorite designer?
Alain and Gerard Wertheimer designers of Chanel. I love their concepts and their designs are out of this world. Rihanna is also my favorite designer.
I love the way you can transform so easily, do you have a look that you fallback on for day to day or are you always very experimental?
Every day is a new day! I love experimenting and trying things out of my comfort zone - it amazes me how I can be who ever I want to be. There are so many to choose from and I let my imaginations run free. I try and do things that people say I can't do such such as wearing bright lipstick and really vibrant colours.
I also love the way you wear lip color so boldly. If you were a lipstick, what would you be called and what color would you be?!
That's a hard question but I would name myself Fearless if I was ever a lipstick and I would be a burgundy color.
