Distorted Comfort
As many of us reflect on every way which quarantine has tested us and made us lose count of the slow-treading months, “DISTORTED COMFORT” is recounting how our living spaces and the furniture within it have manifested their own personas.
The crisp photos by Madrid-based photographer Alex Cascallana show the hazy progression of time, with different frames assembled into one layout showcasing models posed differently beside the motionless furniture pieces.
Here are uniquely off-the-wall articles of furniture from eerily shaped stools to furry lavender rugs: Art-architecture collector Casa Antillon contributed much of the magic to these shots alongside stylist Jorge Ariza’s close-knit styling choices, combining forward-looking pieces adjacent with the futuristic sense of the entire shoot. How has quarantine affected your relationship with your living space?
