Body.exe
“The body is a land not colonized by power”, Pier Paolo Pasolini inspired the freedom to explore texture and identity in “BODY.EXE”, a series of 3D visuals transforming the human body. A collaboration between Giovanni Cosmo and BodySnatchers, the project aims to recompose Cosmo’s self-portrait in an effort to push it beyond limits of photography and retouching, into the digital realm rendered by BodySnatchers.
Fiendish, brawny, pudgy, or with amputated limbs Venus de Milo-style; each frame depicts a different body situated amidst different circumstances. One image is especially akin to Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker album cover, underscoring the uncanniness of a bearded face to a full feminine figure.
