When self-isolation is self-discovery: art producer Arielle has experienced what it means to be home alone and grow into a self-aware human being by herself - powered by the analogue sunlight and the LED from her PC.

If you had the financial resources: what would your next project be?

That's a great question. If I could, I would like to bring more women into this field! The professional realm of Video Games is still very much a male dominated industry. If I had endless financial resources, I would love to create a free international program that fosters the creative force of women of all ages and backgrounds.

Your designs are pretty and sexy as you are: What was the weirdest move sb. made towards you?

Ahh, thank you! I have a fast block-finger and hence do not get bothered as much online as one may think. I HAVE gotten a lot of weird requests from strangers over the years though...
But the strangest / most disturbing thing that happened to me online was discovering that I had a copycat, who tried to replicate everything I did and posted online for a long time. Although what they were doing was very obvious, their copies always paled in comparison. If you look at them side by side, it is obvious which one is the original. So that made me feel a lot better. But it was a very weird and creepy thing to experience. When I realized how mentally unstable they were, I decided that all I could do was to ignore them and keep creating.

What is your project @imvu about?
My IMVU project was born from the idea that you can be your "dream self" online, thus allowing you to fulfill your wildest aesthetic desires. : )

Do you have a message you wanna share with the world right now?
In my life, I have experienced a lot of deliberate self-isolation. I would spend day after day living in virtual worlds, forgetting completely about the world outside my window. But unlike what people may think, this was not time wasted! I had fun, saw many amazing things, met many wonderful people and made friends for life. I realized that you don't necessarily have to go 'outside' to grow, learn & develop as a human being. In these strange times of forced isolation, it is important to remember that the virtual realms hold many opportunities for self-discovery!
