Colors, comparisons, thinking outside the box: Consultant and stylist is good in many things; but mostly in bringing some fun(back). While fashion —social— media is ruled by fast pace business and clickability, this spanish lady is bringing much needed fun (back) into the digital sphere. Her feed filled with not-too-serious selfies and witty observations reminds us to embrace the fact that fashion remains fashion. Nothing less, but also nothing more.
On Instagram you call yourself a “consultant & fashion nothing” - what does that mean exactly?
Well, I hate linguistic tags for everyone specially when presenting yourself as a professional piece of something instead of being someone. So I always play with a linguistic twist trying to describe things with many different understandings or even just one big misunderstanding, you know what I mean? hahaha!
What is your fashion “everything” ?
To me a "fashion everything" would be when something that is not fashion turns into fashion without having to describe it in "fashion" terms. Maybe Vivienne Westwood was the last one that was able to live this "fashion everything". PUNK.
The best thing about Instagram?
1. It gives you work.
2. It provides yourself a short retrospective of what your essence is. You can see a small movie about yourself and you can even delete what you don’t like in your real life. We all dreamt about watching that film.
The worst thing about Instagram?
Spent 5 minutes thinking about something bad on Instagram and I didn’t find anything, to be honest.
What does success mean to you?
Not having anxiety on a Saturday evening thinking about something you don’t want to do the next day.
What kind of failure are you scared of?
Not being on time to become a flutist pop star.
How often do you flick through your own Instagram feed?
Probably everytime I apply for a job! hahaha!
Your favourite Instagram account?
I love the very personal non fashion accounts as for example the @elonmusk, and @rarebooksparis.
When do you know/feel that a look is finished?
Actually, I work in a different way from how I dress myself. I use fashion for it but I don’t like to see my look being trendy or used in that way.
Is fashion rational or intentional?
Too much. Fashion is out of fashion.
