Using childhood nightmares to illuminate the eccentricity of model Heloisa, photographer Johannes Erb and stylist Elli Drake linger on infant nightmares. Drake arrests these burdening figures and enmeshes them in pronounces silhouettes, underlining and beautifying strangeness. Oversized and exaggerated embellishment; twisting and turning hems - the daunting becomes dashing. Simultaneously, Erb filters in coloured luminescence to set the scene. Gradients and shadows carve the frame and compliment Drake’s fabric geometry. Finished with hair stained from nostalgia, the fantasies of cherished little children begin to whisper away again.
