Y/Project Fall 2016
Since Y/Project's identity has become quite unisex looking, Glenn Martens decided to focus on feminine details for this women's wear collection by playing with proportions and silhouettes. He delivered the right amount of sexiness by mixing sophisticated tailoring and urban attitude.
When the "habit à la français" fully baroque, in vogue at the French court in 1650 meets the bohemian taste of 2016, the risk leaves surprised and creates new uniforms dandy and pirate style. There's everything, from gloves in red suede, to profusion of bows and white cotton collar large. There's missing only some 'rhingrave' pants, named after the man who first wore them, Count von Rheingraf Salm. And everything could end up ceremoniously in front of the Sun King!
